What is Ventrilo and why use it?

Ventrilo is free real-time voice chat application. In other words, it's a program which you can talk to your friends using a microphone while you're gaming.
Ventrilo is widely used in almost every online community as a means for faster communication, reliable connectivity, and better source of entertainment among the players.

Ventrilo can be used as an effective way to increases your team's performance during Events, WoE, and other group activities or just sit back and actually chat with your friends whether foreign or domestic.


How do I set it up? Use it?

Start off by downloading the client, that can be done here (http://ventrilo.com/download.php)
Right after you downloaded the client and installed it you should follow these simple steps:

Setting your username:
1) Click the "->" symbol next to the "User Name" tab.
2) Then Click "New" and set your username (you don't have to put anything else on the other blank spaces) then tap OK .

Set your server:
1) Click the "->" symbol next to the "Server" tab.
2) On the Connection Editor tap "New" and name your server "Blackout Ventrilo" or any custom server name you want(not really important).
3) Type ventrilo.blackoutgaming.net beside "Hostname or IP".
4) And set Port Number to: 5314
5) Then tap "OK".

Setup:
1) Press "Setup".
2) Check the box that says "Enable Push To Talk Hotkey (PTT Mode)".
3) Click the blank box next to "Hotkey" and press wich key you wish to assign to be your talk button.
4) Press "Ok".

Connecting:
1) Easy, just press "Connect" and you're there.
